Sunday May 20th is the deadline to have all names and addresses submitted for the Vacation Bible School Flyers. Please make an attempt to reach out to your neighbors and invite them or their kids to VBS. We are focusing on a sincere subject and we need your help to make this successful! Please give me or Ester Dunn any names you have no later than Sunday.

I know that Angela and I have discussed this briefly, but do we need to have a road block?  If we are going to have one it prob. needs to be on May 26th.  Is there any interest in having a road block at all.  Brandy and I do not mind getting it put together but are not planning on being the only two out there to hand out the invitations to VBS.

So is there any interest in having a road block?

I believe that Jayson and I are cancelling our plans to Chattanooga that day because of Coen. We dont need to get him sick before that Thursday. We will help. maybe we can get enough people to help so that we can rotate and not be out there all day. Also, maybe we can rotate keeping each others kids so that we can help. Or actually, we should have some of the kids out there with us, since this is for them. people are more receptive to kids! where will this road block be? the intersection in steele?

If we had enough people I thought we could set up there at the intersection in Steele as well as the intersection in attalla (where the old Wal Mart used to be).  We would not have to stay out all day, we could just set up a road block from like 7 to 10 or something like that.  I was thinking about setting one up in ashville to so that we could cover all the areas that are close to Deermans.  We will need several volunteers to make that work though.

For Steele we would need 2 or 3.  For attalla we would need 4.  Not sure for ashville but atleast 2 or 3.  We will also need to make posters that says something like Vaction Bible School No donations just invitations.  Because everyone when they see you automatically assumes you are taking up money for tball or something.

Thoughts?  Anyone else got an opinion besides me and Angela? 

 

i thought the same thing about the signs and saying no donations. do we have to have any kind of permissions to do a road block from the cities? I would be willing to do Ashville. i wonder if ball games are still going on at the ball fields, we could just hand out over there with lots of kids. yeah, i want to hear some other people's opinions! lol!

Yeah it is good to see that everyone got my email and jumped right out here to give their opinion. 

The other thing that is great is that there is no one has any thing to pray for either.  Awsome! 

You know we used to have a website for Deermans a year or so ago and no one used it so we canceled it...

Time will tell...
